This document walks you through how to properly configure AppsFlyer postbacks to Adikteev for performance tracking and campaign optimization.
Follow these steps closely to ensure correct data flow.
1. Activate Partner
- Log into your AppsFlyer account
- From the dashboard, search for your app in the search bar and select it
- In the left-hand menu, go to Partner Marketplace
- Search for Adikteev in the Partner Marketplace
- Click on Adikteev and then select Manage integration
- Go to the Integration tab
- Toggle ON the Activate partner option
Note: If you’re managing this setup as an agency, make sure you’re logged in with an agency account in AppsFlyer. The agency must have been granted access to the app by the advertiser in order to configure postbacks and access the integration tab.
2. Configure iOS Settings (for iOS apps only)
These settings are required if your app is live on iOS.
- In the Integration tab, scroll to the iOS configuration section
- Advanced Privacy (iOS 14.5+) → set to OFF
These allow Adikteev to receive postback data via standard attribution flows and SKAdNetwork.
3. Set Attribution Windows
> Install Attribution:
- Enable click-through attribution window
- Enable view-through attribution window
- Toggle ON Install view-through attribution
Important: Only enable Cross-platform equal attribution priority if you’re running CTV campaigns. For all other setups, this toggle should remain off.
This configuration ensures that Adikteev receives installs attributed via both engaged clicks and views.
> Re-engagement Attribution:
- Enable click-through attribution window
- Enable view-through attribution window
- Toggle ON Re-engagement view-through attribution
Adikteev supports engaged clicks and engaged views. For more details, refer toAppsFlyer’s Engaged View Documentation
4. Review App Settings for Retargeting (Global Settings)
To allow retargeting and view-through attribution globally for your app:
- In your app settings (not in the partner tab), go to App Settings
- Enable the following:
- Enable Retargeting Attribution
- Enable View-Through Attribution
- Minimum time between re-engagement conversions → set to None
If this value is changed from the default, take a screenshot and share it with your Adikteev account manager.
5. Configure Default Postbacks
Under the Default Postbacks section in the Integration tab:
- Set Sending Option to:→ All media sources, including organic
- Set Postback window to:→ Lifetime
This allows Adikteev to receive postbacks for events regardless of attribution source, which is key for retargeting logic.
6. Enable In-app Event Postbacks
Scroll down to the In-app event postbacks section:
- Under In-app event window, select:→ Lifetime (recommended)
- For Sending Option, choose:→ Send all events (excludes uninstalls and sessions)
- For Sources, select:→ All media sources, including organic
This ensures Adikteev receives a full stream of event data to optimize retargeting audiences and campaign performance.
7. Add and Map In-App Events
In the event table, map the in-app events you want to send to Adikteev.- Under SDK event name, begin typing the event (e.g. af_purchase)
- Select the event from the dropdown list to avoid typos — event names are case-sensitive
- If the event doesn’t appear (e.g. af_app_opened), click Add manually and then Add event
af_purchase
, select Values & revenue under the including column. This ensures your campaigns can support ROAS optimization.
8. Save the Integration
After you’ve confirmed all configurations, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Integration to finalize.9. Final Check: Share Screenshots with Adikteev
To verify proper setup, share these screenshots with your Adikteev contact:- Default postback configuration
